In order to meet the concept of the New Curriculum Reform—for therevival of our nationhood, for the development of each student, our school putsforward the educational idea "students as well as teachers" on the basis ofintrospecting the present situation of education and teaching. The core of this idea liesin the reflection of democratic and equal relationship between teachers and students,the principle that student is the center during the learning process, and thedevelopment concept of teaching benefits teachers as well as students. Since we havecarried out this idea, not only the class teaching has changed a lot, but also somechallenges of class management have come into being. At the same time, as ourschool’s brand of Educational Reform, the idea "students as well as teachers" has noprevious experience to draw on, so this study has very strong realistic significance.My thesis includes five parts. Part one is introduction. In this part, I mainly talk aboutunder the idea "students as well as teachers" the presentation of class management,the study of current situation about class management at home and abroad, thedefinition of the central concept of my thesis, and the main ways I use during myresearch. Part two is about the features of class management under the idea "studentsas well as teachers". In part three, I investigate the problems and causes about themanagement in many ways such as questionnaire, interview and so on. And we findthat there are many problems in class management such as the need to enhance theclass consciousness urgently, the insufficient democracy of class organization andconstruction, the lack of automatic participation in activities, the tendency of teacher’scontrol, the simple class management assessment and so on. After the deep analysis,we realize that these problems are related to the backward class management concept,low class management capacity and the imperfection of class management assessmentsystem. In part four, combining our school’s reality and the central idea of education"students as well as teachers", I pose that in order to solve the problems which I havementioned before, we should focus on improving the head teacher’s qualities,strengthening the automatic management capacity of each student, and constructingthe reasonable class management assessment system. The last part is conclusion. Inthis part, I summarize the achievement of my thesis and clarify some problems whichneed to be studied urgently.
