In this paper I reference the research achievements of setback education, with thepresent problems of high school students and the cognitive development rules ofteenagers, according to marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism,explore how to permeate setback education in ideological and political education,so thatto promote high school students setback tolerance.The setback means that a person in a motive, encounters obstacles or interferencewhich can’t overcome in the process to realize the goals, then produces nervousnessstate and negative emotional response. Setback tolerance is a kind of ability to adapt tosetbacks and resist setbacks and deal with the setbacks. Setback education is theeducation for the purpose of improving the teenagers setback tolerance. Everyone’sfrustration tolerance are not identical, it is influenced by the individual cognitivestructure, the mood and the quality of will. In the current,high school students have toface a variety of frustration from culture study, interpersonal relationships andadolescence confused. According to the data of the questionnaire survey, the currentsetback education has many problems,for example school despises qualityeducation,family and social power are weak, teenagers self education is poor,etc. Basedon these problems, the paper explores the setback education improvementcountermeasures from three angles, detailed how to promote the frustration tolerance ofhigh school students,in order to promote setback education in the group of high schoolstudents effectively.
