The aesthetic education is an important aspect for implementing qualityeducation as well as an integral part of our educational system. Music education isone of the ways to represent aesthetic education, and aesthetic education is the core ofmusic education.Music education will focus on emotion and aesthetic to foster the innovationspirit as well as practice ability in the teaching activities such as music producer,performance, and appreciation, instead of aiming to impart music knowledge andskills, as required by the "Music Syllabus for Full-Time Primary and SecondarySchools in Nine-year Compulsory Education". As put forward by "The MusicCurriculum Standard in Full-time Compulsory Education":"Music Aesthetic as theCore" is the most basic concept of the music curriculum." Music education whichwill influence human emotion should dedicate itself to aesthetics. Therefore, themusic courses come to realize their basic value by enabling students to fullyexperience the aesthetic and emotion in music sound via such major aestheticactivities as music listening, music performance and music producer." The newconcept of music education has fed the new blood to the new century, which not onlycomplies with the main features of music art but also meets the requirement of ourquality education.In this paper, I make analysis and research on how to understand and carry outaesthetic eduction in primary music education by combining the practice in five partswhich include four chapters.The introduction sums up our current situation of aesthetic education in primarymusic education on a basis of document surveys and practical analysis. It specificallypoints out some problems which serve for this research topic, that is, how tounderstand and carry out aesthetic eduction in primary music education.In Chapter I, I begin with the most basic concept of "beauty", then interpret somebasic concept such as “beauty”,“music beauty”,“music aesthetic education”.In Chapter II, I discuss the status and function of music aesthetic education inprimary music education in the aspects of the history of music aesthetic education,especially the reform and development of our music education in school.In Chapter III and IV, I propose some views on how to realize aestheticeducation in primary music education with the two-way interactive process ofteaching and learning as the research scope as well as the three popular teachingmethods of singing, instruments and appreciation in primary music education as theobjects.
