Owing to the progress in reformation and opening to the outside world, higher vocational and technical education is developed more and more rapid, already became the important part and even possessed half of China’s higher education. Higher vocational and technical education emphasizes employment-orientation and integrates theory with practice, aiming at training applied and practical skill-featured talents who can engaged in the production and management from the front line directly. With the rapid development of higher education, teachers’academic qualification in higher vocational colleges has been significantly improved and formed a compound talent team with high level of theory and practical operation ability which has made great contributions to higher vocational education in our country.However, a reasonable and inspiring evaluation system for teachers’ performance has always been the nut in higher vocational colleges. Performance appraisal as an important means of enterprise human resource management has derived into the school management level step by step. The rational and scientific checking-up system for teachers’ performance can arouse the enthusiasm and initiative of teachers greatly, thus gradually improve achievements and efficiency of management, then make the performance of the school achieve its optimal level.With combination of documentary analysis, questionnaire investigations and systems analysis, overall approach of this paper can be summed up as identifying, analyzing and solving problems. What’s more, this paper takes an example from Jiangxi Modern Professional Technology Institute which identifying problems on the basis of affirming the original checking-up system for teachers’ performance, then optimizes the design of performance assessment subject and index ect.Through the study of the evaluation system for teachers’ performance of Jiangxi Modern Professional Technology Institute, the writer makes the whole checking-up system more perfect and reasonable which will do great help to performance evaluation and assessment in the future. At the same time, this paper provides a very good reference to other higher vocational colleges about checking-up system for teachers’ performance.
