Purpose:This study was designed to parepare the questionnaire for measuring the level of Secondary School Principals’ Occupational stress and test the relationship within Occupational stress,Coping Styles and their relationship.Method:1.Test-construcing was based on the preliminary investigation, consulting of relevant literature and results of previous studies.2.Statistic such as T-test, F-test, correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis were used to the differences on each demographic variable and relationship within occupational stress, coping styles testing for secondary school principals.Re sults:1. The" Secondary School Principals Occupational Stress Questionnaire" has good reliability and validity, Which can be used to measuring the occupational stress of secondary school principals. The occupational stress is composed of two dimensions,which are Sources of occupational stress and occupational stress reaction. Empirical model and theoretical conception model are basically fitting.2.The Principals ’occupational stress is at middle level.The occupational stress of secondary school principals exist significant differences in gender, age, tenure, school size, school type, and other factors.3.Positive ways are used to face the occupational stress,such as "problem-solving" or " help-seeking" The coping styles of secondary school principals have significant differences in gender, position, age, education, tenure, school location, school size, type, level, and other demographic variables.4.The occupational stress reaction of secondary school principals have significant positive correlation with problem-solving, fantasy, avoidance, and rationalization. In the total score of occupational stress, the occupational stress of secondary school principals exist significantly positive correlation with two factors-"problem-solving" and "Rationalization".Conclusions:All the secondary school principals are on the moderate level of occupational stress.The Mature coping style is adopted in the face of pressure.
