The elementary mathematics is concerned with constant and static something, butit only to regular and finite. Calculus study variable mathematics and dynamic objects,it include movement, change and infinite. Almost everything in the real world isathletic and varied, so students should build up calculus thought began in theelementary school, and learn to know life in calculus outlook. In recent years, calculushas entered senior math, and became the test content of college entrance examination. But there are some problems in the compiling of textbooks and teaching modes aboutelementary calculus, so research about subject matter, teaching and study method ofcalculus has become an important question at present.Firstly, the article analyses the close contact between calculus and seniormathematics and student,it includes status, education value, and necessity, andcollege entrance examination, to show the importance of calculus. Secondly, thisarticle test senior student’s attitudes toward calculus and teaching pattern, and themaster level of basic content and application by questionnaire method. Then it sumsup some problems on calculus course’s teaching through the investigation andanalysis. Finally, on the basis of analyzing the thought and method (limit thought, consecutive thought, derivative thinking and integral thought) of calculus, this paperstudy the high school calculus teaching strategy under new curriculum background. Itincludes exploration of close contact between elementary calculus and universitymathematics from a typical example, analysis of teaching materials and curriculumimplementations, some ideas about how to link up the senior middle schoolmathematics with the advanced calculus, and the article illustrate teaching strategy ofcalculus by a specific example.
