| In this paper, we discuss the relationship between calculus and themathematics of middle school. Through discussing the calculus teaching experience andreform both at home and abroad, we can draw the conclusion that we should handlestability and development well on calculus teaching in our country and draw lessonsfrom others. In addition, this paper analyzes the status of calculus in mathematics anddiscusses the calculus is an important component in middle school mathematics, it canreflect the internal connection of the elementary mathematics and higher mathematics.The article intends to meet the requirements of calculus made by mathematics teachingsyllabus and discuss the depth, breadth, and the sense of calculus in the secondaryschool curriculum, meanwhile, it makes a brief analysis on some chapters aboutcalculus in the current high school mathematics textbooks. Calculus plays an importantpart not only in the higher mathematics but also is useful in solving problems in theelementary mathematics. Studying the association between calculus and otherknowledge and analyzing the status of calculus in mathematics teaching in high schoolby actual examples, we conclude that calculus plays an important part not only in thehigher mathematics but also is useful in solving problems in the elementarymathematics. Secondary school teachers should master the familiar elementary methodsof various problems, they should also be good at using advanced mathematics to solveelementary mathematics problems, especially the problem that can be solved by usingelementary methods but difficult to deal with, but by using calculus they can be easilysolved. This can extend the problem-solving ideas and skills, improve teachers’professional level, promote the middle school mathematics teaching and then guidemath teaching in middle school. In the of studying calculus, due to the lack of socialpractice, insufficient logical thinking and abstract thinking ability, high school studentsoften don’t adapt to the shift of thinking from the constants to variables The wronglearning methods are easy to cause some problems such as the learning effect is notobvious, the low efficiency in learning and problem solving. So it’s easy to cause someproblems in learning and problem solving. Only a deeply understanding and grasp ofthese characteristics and rules of learning of students can teachers make calculus moretargeted and effective in teaching. This paper will analyze these questions and putforward some teaching methods and learning strategies of systematicness, knowledgepoints and thinking ability according to the basic rules of learning calculus and theviewpoint of solving practical problems in order to improve the effect of teachingcalculus and provide some experience and references. |
