Knowledge of calculus appeared a lot of times in high school textbooks in our country,reflecting it’s extremely important role in people’s learning and life.The reform of new roundof high school mathematics curriculum, made the arrangement to knowledge of calculus again,considering thinking development level of senior high school students, the characteristics ofthe subjects of Mathematics and international comparison, and so on. It’s purpose is to offerbetter service to teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. In this paper, we are veryconcerned about the implementation of the adjusted derivative concept teaching as the coreconcept of calculus, understanding problems of the concept of derivative to high schoolstudents and the way to solve the problems. In reaction to these problems of the derivativeconcept teaching, how to request to the teachers and students is research problem in the paper.In this paper, it introduced the concept of derivative issues of teaching and researchbackground and significance, then briefly discussed the overview of the content of thecalculus, the history of its development, status and educational functions, the highest victoryof civilization of human reason; a simple narrative teaching content changes in China’sconcept of derivative, consensus can be drawn: secondary attention should be paid to theinitial teaching of calculus. The author focuses on the teaching theory of mathematicalconcepts, the literature is reviewed as the second chapter. Chapter three began to empiricalresearch on the teaching and learning of the concept of derivative, and made statistics andhierarchical division from the APOS theory, SOLO evaluation model and curriculumstandards, as the three-dimensional target three aspects. Chapter4made the design researchprocess. Based on the test volume, interviews with teachers and students to understand theconcept of derivative demonstrated the difficulties, the author combined lectures andconsulting a large number of documents on the basis of the design of a derivative of theconcept of instructional design case and case studies. Chapter5, for investigating theproblems reflected, the author conducted an in-depth summary and reflection and prospects.
