In the English teaching in the large classes of junior high school, the levels of studentsare uneven, It is very hard for teachers to think about the specific needs of each student in theclassroom, and therefore sometimes we can not fully mobilize the enthusiasm of learningfrom all the students, As a result, it’s difficult to see that there is a whole and big improvementin their English. As a junior high school English teacher, I tried to take some self-learningtheories in the preview link to stimulate their interests in learning English, and in a way, todevelop their self-learning ability. So I hope to achieve the status of "First learning thenteaching!". Thus for my students, I hope to narrow the existing gaps in learning English andhelp them enhance their learning confidence. For me, I hope to improve the effect of Englishlearning in the classroom, in essence, to improve their ability of using English.Of course, we all know, the development of the independent learning ability is not easy.It needs to operate step by step. According to the specific circumstances of my own studentsand our teaching materials, I make a detailed plan and design a preview of Learning Plan. Bygiving clear learning objectives and specific preview guidance, and training preview strategies,I want to develop the students’ initial learning ability. Let them voluntarily absorb theknowledge of English and improve their English level.The title of my thesis is on " English self-learning capacity-building research for studentsthrough Previous Learning Plans". It mainly tells some explorations on how to develop theautonomous learning ability through Previous Learning Plans in the preview links. Therefore,I can help the students to take the initiative to learn English and improve the comprehensiveability of using English. My paper focuses on the implementation of the case: before theimplementation, while the implementation, after the implementation. In the end of thispractice, I write a conclusion according to my own teaching experience and feelings. Ianalysis the results of my study and sum up the advantages and disadvantages of theimplementation of Previous Learning Plans. At the same time, I also point out the room forimprovement. I wish my study results will be helpful to my further research and someone elsewho has the same research as me.Edgar Faure pointed out:"Illiteracy of the future is no longer simple illiterate, but theman who will not learn how to learn." in his article "Learning to Live". However, most ofsecondary schools in our country due to the long-term oriented education and the fiercecompetition in the scores, they often lose enthusiasm and initiative, their learning ability ispoor. Therefore, as educators, we have the responsibility to change this situation. TheIndependent learning ability is the basic one of all the capabilities. If students master theability,they can promote and accelerate the ability of getting more knowledge.
