Experimental Study On "Preview Guiding Case" In The Middle School Mathematics Teaching

For the students in 21 st century,the most important thing is to caltivate good study habits and to have independent study ability.But at present,most middle school students have poor preview consciousness;they have neither good preview habits nor scientific and effective preview method,so they can't achieve the goal of preview and the the preview homework became an empty talk at last.As a result,this will leads to unideal preview effect,poor self-learning ability and low class efficiency.Therefore,we propose to design “preview guidance case” to direct students to preview effectively in order to improve students' learning efficiency and greatly develop students' self-learning ability.In this paper,we reviewed the relative concepts and theoretical basis of “preview guidance case”;compared the “guidance case” with the “preview guidance case”;studied the writing content and rules of “guidance case”;investigate the current preview status of the middle school students.We formulate the writing rules,establishment process and layout design.We wrote preview guidance case for middle school students according to their own characteristics and cognitive levels,desgned an implementation plan and conducted an comparative experiment on two parallel classes in grade one of a middle school of Yantai by the same teacher,where in one class the teacher used ‘preview guidance case' while in the other class she didn't.We analyzed the statistical data including the scores before and the scores at one month and four months after experiment respectively by paired T test method.The result has shown that “preview guidance case” has significance influence on improving the students' scores.After the experiment,we conducted a questionnaire survey on the students in the two classes to investigate the influence of “preview guidance case”mode and the traditional preview mode on the tudents' learning interest,learning habit,learning method,learning attitude and learning effect.We found that the ‘preview guidance case' can effectively direct the students' preview before class and the teacher'teaching on class;the scores of the students using “preview guidance case” are higher than those not using.Meanwhile,“preview guidance case” can improve the students' learning interest in mathematics,learning initiative and the inquiry ability.Preview is the key procedure to realize the goal of “learning before teaching and teaching according to learning”.The teachers should design the “preview guidance case” elaborately,at the same time they should appropriately direct the students how to preview so as to promote active and effective preview for the later classs learning.Students' preview and class learning have made great changes after being directed by “preview guidance case”,but because the experiment time is short and the theoretical knowledge and teaching experience are not rich enough,the effectiveness of “preview guidanc e case” needs further verification over time.Therefore,the design and explementation of “preview guidance case” call for more and more educators to make progress in future researches.
