China has splendid culture and a long history, formed unique and excellent culture accumulation and ethnic customs. Chinese traditional culture not only has the powerful vitality and accommodation and focusing on "people-oriented" and ethics. As a part of the human being’s culture, art is not only an ability and skill, but also related to people’s life. Art education is not only related to students’aesthetic and painting ability, but also to the development and evolution of Chinese traditional culture. At the same time Chinese traditional culture has an influence on arts education because it has a profound and long history and cultural crystallization during five thousand years. However, with reform, opening up and economic globalization, the important cultural and educational activity as art education is also toward to globalization and strongly influenced by western culture. With the western educational painting thought gradually into the school, Chinese traditional culture in the art education is going to be ignored. The teachers are the dominant of art education and bearer of Chinese traditional culture, so the cultural quality of them directly impact on cultivation strategies of Chinese traditional culture in art education. This essay give a propose to how to develop teachers’traditional culture, how to explore Chinese traditional culture in the school art course, how to cultivate implementation process of Chinese traditional culture in the context of new art course standard.
