| As entering of the stage of populism of higher education, the talents that the societyneeds are now diverse and high-level. This social reality triggers a series of changes in thefield of graduate education, such as the rapid rising of the professional master degreeeducation and the suddenly changing of graduate employment situation and so on, whichmake the cultivation of academic postgraduate face new challenges in provincial normalcolleges.To have a comprehensive understanding of the current situation of the cultivation ofacademic postgraduates in provincial normal universities, the paper chooses a provincialnormal university in northeast in China as the case and uses methods of documentation,questionaire survey, the interview method and case analysis as research methods, investigatesand analyses the current situation of the cultivation of academic postgraduates in provincialnormal universities from cultivation target, cultivation process and cultivation system. Firstly,the paper defines the nature and types of academic postgraduats,describes the uniqueness ofthe current situation of the cultivation of academic postgraduates in provincial normaluniversities and analyses the content of three dimensions and nine elements of the cultivationof academic postgraduates status. And then the paper designs the questionnaires andinterviews from three dimensions and nine elements, and gets the statistics survey resultsbased on sample selection and interview subjects. According to the findings and interviews ofthe cultivation of academic postgraduates, the paper finds out three issues: cultivation targetsare vague and deviate from the social reality needs; cultivation processes are similar and theimplementation of them are weak; The flexibility of culture system is weak and some systemsare not good enough.Secondly, the paper summarizes the reasons of these problems: theweakening of "normal" and "local" on the cultivation of academic postgraduates in provincialnormal universities; the lack of education resources of academic postgraduates in provincialnormal universities and the impact of the education policy of graduate enrollment. Finally,According to the different natures of the disciplines, academic postgraduates in provincialnormal universities can be re-divided into three categories: type of education theory, type ofsubject education and type of professional knowledge. The paper gives suggestions fordevelopment of the cultivation of academic postgraduates in provincial normal universitiesfrom the three dimensions: formulate pluralistic cultivation objectives to cultivate all kinds oftalents; establish the flexibility of the cultivation processes to adapt to pluralistic cultivationobjectives; establish flexible culture system to ensure the smooth implementation ofthecultivation processes. |
