Project Management Applied In Student Advisor Performance Assessment In Universities

University human resource reform is gradually gaining in depth, however, it is mainlyconcentrated on academic teaching and research earning while assessment for university studentadvisors needs to be improved. Student advisors, who take responsibility of both studentmanagement and course teaching, are the backbone of moral, ideological and political educationin universities. The unique character of ideological and political work adds difficulties toestablish an overall assessment system. Because of the complications of the work, multitaskingand importance of ideological and political work, it is more necessary to explore and graduallyestablish a well-structured system for assessment of student advisors.Project management prevails in various fields, and its application to performanceassessment has gained in depth. Applying project management to performance assessmentefficiently can shorten research cycles, guarantee implementation quality, reduce mistakes andrisks, and save cost. This article applies project management theory to university student advisorperformance assessment based on the work of student advisors. The assessment system aims topromote efficient work performance and enhance the result as guidance to further improve theassessment of quantity and quality on the basis of existing research. This work discusses theprinciple, method and design of the evaluation standard of student advisor assessmentimplementation to eventually set a relatively complete model for such assessment.The article will apply the student advisor performance assessment model to their daily workto target the assessment purpose, organization, work division, scheduling and specificimplementation program based on analysing assessment status quo and performance evaluationin a particular university. This article aims to provide a useful reference for universities onstudent advisor performance assessment.
