A Study On The Performance Assessment Of The Project Teams In Universities

In the knowledge economy, the university is playing an increasingly significant effect as the largest vector of technological development and personnel training,which put higher requirements to the mechanism. So how to integrate the limited resources reasonably to make the largest benefit has became the first question in the university, and the university project teams emerged. Upon the birth, it receives extensive attention by the world. It makes profound impact on the improving disciplinary construction, training high-quality personnel, exploration of cutting-edge theory and transforming research results. But the university project teams are still in the initial stage, its development needs a long process as all things.In recent years, many scholars have carried out extensive research to the establishment and management of project team, and formed a number of research results. But little of the results aim for the application areas in the university, especially for assessing the university project team performance.Firstly, this article start with the concept of the project team, it makes theoretical description to project management, team management and performance management in order to propose the university project team's concept and characteristics. Then the author studies a large number of the team performance literature, and selects indexes to establish the performance index system on the university project team by BSC, and determines the weight of each index by AHP. Finally, this article put one laboratory in the school of management of Hefei University of technology as the object for studying, assesses the performance in order to propose some related improvements to increase the performance.
