A Study On The Cultivating Mode Of Innovative Engineering Qualified Technical Talents Of Research Universities

Engineering science and technology deeply influence the economic and social development and people’s life style. The intensification of globalization and deepening of international division of labor all make this influence greatly concerned and accepted. Engineering education, as the main carrier of the heritage and innovation in engineering science and technology, makes great contribution of the cultivation of engineering technology talents, and also in solving the practical problems in engineering activities.Based on the historical background of engineering education, and the changing engineering field and its demand to engineering talents, this paper reviewed the development and current situation of reform of engineering education in China from the angle of higher education development, and then systemic analyzed the challenges and problems engineering education of our country confronted with. Based on the analysis of innovative qualified engineering technical talents and the introduce of main cultivating mode of engineering education of foreign countries, this paper studied the successful experience of the cultivating reform of the talent qualities of innovative qualified engineering technical talents, in Dalian University of Technology, in term of these analysis, we obtained the cultivating condition of engineering talents in China. Starting with the imperious expectation of economic transition and adjustment of industrial structure to the innovative engineering, this paper combined the schooling pattern and positioning of talent cultivation to construct the cultivating mode of innovative qualified engineering technical talents of Research University, and discussed the cultivating mode from such aspects as schooling pattern, ways to cultivate talents, international cooperation and communication, faculty and production, teaching and research cooperation model with the aim to enrich the cultivating ways and construct the education in research cultivating model for the innovative qualified engineering technical talents. The cultivating mode proposed in this paper integrating the development condition of engineering education in China and the basic laws in engineering talents’cultivation, after straighten up the schooling pattern of higher education, this paper made some suggestions on the reform of cultivating mode of innovative qualified engineering technical talents of Research University, which may be given greater prominence to the general education and the diversity of talent cultivation.Set the real demand of cultivation of innovative qualified engineering technical talents of Research University in China as the starting point, the suggestions and ideas of reform proposed in this paper would be more operable, and will play a reference role in the cultivation of innovative qualified engineering technical talents in China.
