The proportion of college students in society is growing larger since the reform of Chinese higher education admission policy and enrollment expansion of colleges launched in1999. The average age of college students,18-23years old, determines it an important phase of physical and mental growth and realization of socialization. The socialization during this phase has a significant and life-lasting influence on each individual. In this paper, the deviant behavior of college students occurred in the course of socialization will be defined and classified. In order that the combination of theory and practice can be realized, the author also analyzes the characteristics and motivation of the performance, explores the current intervention mechanism for deviant behavior and its deficiency, and proposes the construction and improvement of the control on college students’deviation. The college students’deviation behavior refers to the behavior against the norm of conduct and social expectation, suffering the negative evaluation from majority which may cause the maladjustment on students’mentality and physiology. During this paper, deviant behavior will be treated as a neutral notion, owning both positive and negative impact. Thus, various deviant behaviors will be analyzed differently. To complete the individual socialization and maintain the social order, some negative deviation should be adjusted; as to the positive deviation, an objective and active method should be adapted to accord it with the social development, improving the overall pertinence and timeliness of ideological and political education.
