The process of ideological and political education is the unified process both ofeducators teaching and of the reception of the educated. But in all the traditional theoriesresearch in the university students’ ideological and political education, people focused mainlyon the process of educators teaching and the process of the educated accepting was studiednot enough.In the practice of ideological and political education in universities, some educatorsusually pays attention only to how to teach and less cares that whether the content they teachcan be absorbed by the educated. The result is that some of the educated are unwilling toaccept what the educators are conveying to them, and the worse is that they are graduallydoubting, disliking and disgusting the content of ideological and political education, so that itleads to the inefficiency of ideological and political education.On the backgrounds of value diversifying, the problem is more and more prominent. Thereception of university students’ ideological and political education on the backgrounds ofvalue diversifying is the topic of this paper, which makes researches systematically, meaningto be of some help to the improvement of the theories in ideological and political education,to push the reform of means and ways in ideological and political education of this new era,thus to make the education efficient.Adopting the methods of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, the methodsof questionnaire and individual interviews, and the methods of documentary research andspeculative research, on the basis of questionnaire and individual interviews, this paper makesconclusions about the status quo of university students’ reception in the ideological andpolitical education, then analyzes the influencing factors, finally against the problems putsforward some countermeasures to improve the efficiency in the reception of ideological andpolitical education. The countermeasures concerns the inner propulsion of the recipients,psychological mind in receiving, medias in teaching, teaching process, the quality and abilityof the educators themselves. The main body of this paper consists of three parts.The first part provides a general idea about the reception theory of ideological andpolitical education, analyzing the connotation, the psychological mechanisms and thecharacteristics in the reception of ideological and political education, and the influencingfactors in it.The second part analyzes the influences on university students’ mind and morality by thevalue diversifying, and analyzes the performances in the receiving process neglecting in ideological and political education. This part mainly finds out what’s the status quo ofuniversity students’ reception in the ideological and political education, which are theinfluencing factors, and how is the specific performing in the receiving process neglecting.The third part puts forward some countermeasures to improve the efficiency in thereception of ideological and political education. One is changing the mind to give ideologicaland political education according to the students’ characteristics. The second is improving thequality of the educators, supplying a competent education team. The third is reforming themeans and methods to enhance the attraction and appeal of the ideological and politicaleducation. The forth is innovating the content in order to comply with the reality and times.The fifth is working together by the whole society to better the circumstances of theeducation.
