Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Ideological And Political Education For The Ethnic Group Students In Universities&Colleges Of Xinjian

In August2004, CPC Central Committee and State Council on Further Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Education for University and College Students stressed that university students are precious resources of talents, the hope of the nation and the future of motherland, therefore it is of huge and profound significance to strengthen and Improve ideological and political education for university and college students. Recently Xinjiang, one of the five autonomous regions in China, has seen a great increase of ethnic group students enrolled in universities and colleges. As the excellent ones, the ethnic group students play important roles in the development of society, politics, economy and culture in Xinjiang. Furthermore the students’Ideological state does influence the economy developing, culture spreading and stability keeping in Xinjiang. Now at the social transformation, just like the other provinces and regions in China, Xinjiang is facing a lot of social problems in which the incidents of July5th in2009and July30th in2011have made the situation more complicated.Under the above background, this dissertation studies the ideological and political education for the ethnic group students in the universities and colleges of Xinjiang. Firstly, the paper focuses on the features of the ethnic group students in the universities and colleges of Xinjiang, and then analyzes the features of the ideological and political education for the ethnic group students from the perspectives like area complexity, object diversity, content diversity and methods particularity. Secondly, while acknowledging the great achievements made in the ideological and political education for the ethnic group students in the universities and colleges of Xinjiang in the past few years, the paper states the problems existing now such as:the unqualified working staff, lagged and one-way methods and the high flow rate of staff, then analyses the causes of the problems ranging from local social environment, bilingual teaching and the weak treatment of the staff. Finally, with the primary thinking of the ideological and political education for the ethnic group students in the universities and colleges of Xinjiang identified, the paper puts forward the suggestions including six aspects like dismantling language barriers、optimizing the social environment、being tough on "three evil forces"、holding on to ideology as a main thread、improving the quality of the staff、 perfecting the regulations and rules、innovating the working methods, aiming to improve the effectiveness of the ideological and political education for the ethnic group students in the universities and colleges of Xinjiang.This dissertation might have the some innovations such as:In terms of the study perspective, it focuses on the ideological and political education for the ethnic group students in the universities and colleges of Xinjiang with the incidents of July5th Urumqi in2009and July30th in2011as the background, which is seldom discussed at present. As for the content, it emphasizes the special social background, religion, living and studying environment, and summarizes the experience to explore the corresponding countermeasures.
