How to strengthen the pertinence and effectiveness of the moral educaters in SecondaryVocational Schools (short for SVS, similarly hereinafter) is a problem plaguing the moraleducators. In2004, the author carried out the" Repeated Reading " Moral Experment in theVocational school and received good results. The core value is " Repeated Reading " affectstudents’ belief and affect the behavior of students. The practice shows that throughdeveloping the student’s good beliefs for forming their good attitude and behavior habit hasthe obvious function to enhance the moral education effect and the efficiency in SVS.American psychologist Albert Ellis (1913-2007) believes that: people’s moods areaffected by the interpretation and evaluation who experienced the event not by the event itself.This is the Basic point of ABC theory.This paper will expand the ABC theory from mental health domain to the whole domainof moral education. According to practical moral education in SVS, the author studied therelationship of beliefs and behaviors, came to the conclusion that that the cultivation of goodbeliefs is the key link of moral education in SVS by the research method of literature, survey,action, and so on. On the basis of theory with practice, the author researches the ways andmethods to develop good beliefs.The paper consists of following five parts: the introduction part introduces the origin ofthe study, objective, significance, contents and methods.The second part is a summary of belief. It explains the meaning and function of belief.This author also and proposes the beliefs cultivation objectives for the SVS students.analyses the status quo of the SVS student’s beliefs based on a survey.The third part is the basic theory of beliefs cultivation. The author elaborates theconcepts of beliefs by the philosophical theories of Marxist philosophy and Wang Yangming’stheory, the education theories of Deweyan’s moral thoughts in education, the “Education oflife, Education by life, Education for life” theory of Tao Xingzhi and constructivism theory,and the psychoanalytical theories of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Beck’s cognitive therapy and self-control method.The fourth part is the way of beliefs cultivation. Firstly, the paper introduces the made ofbeliefs formation,and reveals that beliefs are self-built in practice, through such a recycleprocess:“action'preliminary idea're-action'evaluation and reflection'strengthensense'beliefs formation'new action”, Secondly, the paper elaborates is the way of beliefscultivation. The author proposes cultimating good belief mode together by disciplinecurriculum, activity curriculum and hidden curriculum in moral education complement eachother in a certain value environment.The fifth part describes problems in the field and the prospect of further research.
