In an era of globalization, the international competition, which attaches most importanceto economy and technology, is increasingly fierce with the development of science andtechnology and the coming of information age. The essence of the current internationalcompetition is the competition for talents. Therefore, whoever owns high-quality talents ismore competitive and owns the initiative. To foster high-quality talents, what counts is tostrengthen education. The teacher-student relationship is the most basic and the most crucialone, for the fruit and quality of all educational activities is realized through theteacher-student relationship. The author has been working as a teacher in middle school since she graduated fromcollege. Through the teaching experience, the writer deeply thinks that it is not easy to get onwell with her students whatsoever. Although the teacher-student relationship is harmonious onthe surface, there are actually many thorny problems. Once such problems can not be handledproperly, it may affect not only the quality of education but also the physical and spiritualhealth. Therefore, it is quite crucial to build a new, healthy, and harmonious teacher-studentrelationship. As soon as the intersubjectivity theory was put forward, it drew attention ofscholars in academic and theoretical worlds, and later spread among the educational circle. Thus intersubjectivity becomes the hot and frontier issue in educational study. The currentdevelopment of intersubjectivity in education theories provides a new perspective for thestudy of the relationship between teachers and students in middle school. Therefore, theauthor tries to build a fresh teacher-student relationship under the guidance ofintersubjectivity theories, in order to provide some ideas for the development of theteacher-student relationship.Based on the relative materials and her own teaching experience, the author explores theteacher-student relationship in middle school from the perspective of intersubjectivity. Thethesis can be divided into three parts. In Chapter One, the author explains the concepts and theories of intersubjectivity. First ofall, the author gives a general overview of the intersubjectivity theory, including itsdevelopment, connotation, and the relationship between intersubjectivity and subjectivity. Then, the author analyzes the theory of the traditional teacher-student relationship, and pointsout the necessity and importance of constructing a teacher-student relationship under theperspective of intersubjectivity by combining the trait nowadays. In Chapter Two, the author points out the problems of the current teacher-studentrelationship and their causes. The problems are stated from four aspects:1) There are few andsimple interactive activities between teachers and students in class. In most circumstances, theteacher starts an activity, while few students interact with the teacher or other students. On thewhole, there are few students interact with others in class.2) The communication betweenteachers and students after class mainly focuses on knowledge and ignores emotional contact.3) Conflicts between teachers and students break out now and then, which leads to tenseteacher-student relationship.4) Under evil social influence, the teacher-student relationshiptends to be secularized and utilitarian. Thinking about the problems of the teacher-studentrelationship, the author analyzes the causes that affect the teacher-student relationship fromthree aspects, i.e. the society, teachers, and students. In Chapter Three, the author puts forward some strategies to construct the newteacher-student relationship under the perspective of intersubjectivity. Firstly, based on theimprovement of the related laws and regulations, the country should promote publicity to thelegal system, complete the development of monitoring mechanisms, in order to supervise theimplementation of the educational laws and regulations in middle school and to truly protectthe rights and interests of teachers and students. Secondly, the school should change theunreasonable teacher evaluation mechanism of the past so as to evaluate the teachers frommultiple aspects. In the context of new curriculum reform of elementary education being infull swing, the school should comprehensively understand the concept of new curriculumreform and implement it on a full scale in school education. In addition, the school shouldpromote the education of teachers and build a platform for teachers and students tocommunicate and exchange with each other. Thirdly, as the subject of educational activities, the teacher is the key to the construction of the teacher-student relationship under theintersubjectivity. To build the teacher-student relationship under the intersubjectivity, theteacher should change his/her role to reset his/her relationship with the students, renewconcepts of education to set scientific view on education, and to enhance their professional qualities. Fourthly, the students should change their learning manners to develop a habit ofactive study and healthy personalities.
