Nowadays, the national power competition between countries is essentially the scientificand technological strength competition and talent competition. The national strength and theadvanced technology depends to a great extend on the advanced physics education. Teachingmaterial is the main basis of teachers’ teaching in the physics education and meanwhile themain material used by students in learning. It’s also the medium between teaching andlearning and the important embodiment of the overall level of physics education. Find theexisting features of our country’s physics education and master the advantage anddisadvantage of current teaching material by doing the teaching material comparative study.Though drawing lessons from foreign teaching material, maximizing favorable factors andminimizing unfavorable ones, find the new train of thought and direction of our countryteaching material’s compiling.By using the research of literature and comparison to do the comparative study betweenThe PEP Edition of Ordinary High School Course Experiment Textbook(referred to PEPphysics), mechanics part,2010and New Physics, High School, Mechanics(referred to KPKphysics) by Der Karlsruher from Germany, it shows the total difference in the concept systembetween two of them. PKP physics uses momentum model and set up the whole mechanicssystem by using flow thought basing conservation theory. Each field of physics is moreharmonious and unitized in structure and logic in the momentum model of PKP physics thanthe force model of PEP physics and the PKP physics is more correspond to the modernphysics. In the content choosing, compared to PEP physics, there isn’t the related knowledgeof kinematics in PKP physics and add the content about angular momentum which isimpalpable in our country’s high school physics. The requirement to the modern physicsknowledge in PKP physics is obviously more than PEP physics. The requirement toexperiment in PKP physics reflects using the daily life experiment to explain the physics lawswhile PEP physics using the instruments of laboratory and strictly according to standard stepsto arouse students’ research interest. Compared to PKP physics, there’s a lot of improvementneeded in PEP physics.The reading material and illustration of KPK physics is composed and freehand by the teaching material development team in specialty. It’s perfect, harmonious, unitized both incontent and the overall style of teaching material. There exists big difference between KPKphysics and PEP physics in choosing reading material and illustration as well as the designingof teaching material layout. To sum up, KPK is the author’s masterpiece during thirty yearsand it’s worth drawing lessons and learning from KPK for our country’s teaching material.
