Being a medium helping instructors and students acquaint the world and gain developments, textbooks play an extremely important role in instruction, which is the carrier of disciplines'scientific thoughts, knowledge, methods, and virtues. They inherit and promulgate scientific culture of disciplines, and also intensively reflect the national educational ideas. Meanwhile, under the background of curriculum reform nowadays, textbook reform is the key of curriculum reform. Comparison of textbooks can promote reviews on them, inherit and develop good manner of textbook writing, and also discard and consummate defective contents of textbooks. Education and economy develop fast in developed countries, in which thoughts and ideas are more advanced than those in China. Comparing Chinese physics curriculum standard with that of developed countries can show differences in physics educational ideas and thoughts. Based on these differences, there will be big differences between physics textbooks written according to curriculum standards. Through comparison between Chinese physics textbook and that of developed countries, each one's merits and demerits are found, and optimal writing scheme is searched.In this paper. I take the international science education reform as the background, and contrast the science education of the two countries through the introduction of the Science Education Standards. From the perspective of middle school physics educators, using the materials analysis and materials contrast and other research methods, I contrast Conceptual Physics, the high school textbook of the United States, and the high school physics textbooks of Shanghai Branch version in the theme of "Mechanics and Kinematics ". There are four aspects compared, which are the content of the teaching materials, teaching materials Columns, textbook illustrations design and the end design of the chapter materials. From the comparative research. I have obtained the differences between the two materials and put forward some suggestions of physics preparation of materials to inspire and help the high school physics education and physics teaching materials.Through the comparative research of the two types of high school textbooks. Conceptual Physics and the high school physics textbooks of Shanghai Branch version, I am not only looking for projecting running water into the new curriculum reform and the preparation of teaching materials, but also looking for providing the theoretical guidance for my future teaching.
