With the renewal of global science and technology, the comprehensive strength of a country nowadays is not only reflected in its military strength, but also in its R&D and mastery of science and technology and the number of high-tech talents. The development of physics is one of the important factors affecting the development of science and technology and high-tech talents. This makes the development of physics indirectly affect the comprehensive strength of a country,so the success or failure of the reform of physics teaching plays a key role in the future development of a country. In view of the fact that Britain is at the forefront of scientific development in the world today. Therefore, learning its teaching experience by comparison can be used for reference in China's educational reform. However, there are great differences in culture, politics and tradition between China and Britain, which leads to great differences in educational methods and concepts between the two countries.Physics is an important basic subject in secondary education, and experiment is the basis of physical science. It is also the source of physical concepts, laws and principles. It is the only standard to test the theory of physics.A comparative study of the differences between the two mainstream senior high school textbooks can provide fresh blood for the future curriculum reform in China,as well as new teaching methods and concepts for our teachers. In this paper, the comparative study, mainly from the experimental summary, form, quantity and content of four aspects, with the help of images, tables, mathematical statistical means, the two textbooks are comparatively analyzed, and summarized, and finally draw the corresponding conclusions and recommendations.Secondly, the author hopes that through this study,it can help readers carry out physics teaching and learn physics knowledge. Therefore, this paper will carry out this research from the following parts. The first part is the introduction. In this part, the selection of this topic, the current research situation, the purpose and significance of this research and the research methods adopted in this research are elaborated in detail. The second part compares the two countries' textbook experiment summary. In this part, the author elaborates the two countries' textbook experiment summary, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the two countries, and makes a comparative summary. The third part makes a comparative study of the two sets of textbook experiments.Firstly, the presentation forms of the two sets of experiments are elaborated;secondly, the number of experiments in the two sets,i.e.the distribution,is analyzed by statistical analysis;then,a typical experiment is selected from the four kinds of experiments of force, heat, light and electricity of the two sets of textbooks for comparative analysis;finally, the experimental characteristics of the two sets of textbooks are sorted out.The fourth part summarizes and analyses the whole research, and puts forward corresponding suggestions for the improvement and revision of the textbooks. The fifth part elaborates the limitations and prospects of this study, aiming to find out the problems and shortcomings of this study, and the problems that need to be addressed in the future.
