There is a great technological advance and productivity progresses since the late20thcentury. As the future society will attach more weight to those with comprehensive qualities,elementary and high school education reform started accordingly at the beginning of thiscentury. In order to adjust to the new curriculum reform circumstances, a high school historyteacher should train all-round talents. Interdisciplinary study and practice can improve theefficiency of history teaching.This paper is divided into six parts. To explain the necessity of interdisciplinary study,the writer comments on new curriculum ideas,features of historiography, new trend of literalarts and lack of diversification of teaching skills. There is an analysis of the concepts, contentsand features of interdisciplinary study, which is based on contemporary pedagogy theory,students’ psychology and new characteristics of history teaching. To improve this, severalcases about interdisciplinary study are also put forth.Following the new curriculum reform ideas, this paper tries to study the real classenvironment and teaching methods. With this practical interdisciplinary research, the writermeans to encourage the history teachers to update their history knowledge and improve theircomprehensive qualities and thus all-round talents can be trained.
