"The post-90" students have been the main parts in colleges and universities at present and several years in the future. At the same time, they will also be the main force to establish the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the next few decades. With the development of the times, the post-90s students’ characteristics with more obvious brands of era, which also brings new opportunities and challenges to the ideological and political education of college students. The article take "the post-90s" students as the research objects by the way of questionnaire survey, Interviews survey and case study, and prosecute the empirical research to "the post-90s" students from Ideology and politics, value orientation, moral behavior etc.. The results of research show that "the post-90s" students’ ideal and faith, resolving power, moral practice, cooperative and practical ability are relatively weak, but sense of social responsibility, political sensitiveness, mainstream value, moral cognition, subjective consciousness and learning ability are relatively strong. The form of these characteristics is not only related to students’ subjective influence but also inseparable to the influence of social environment, school education and family environment.Facing the objective environment and college students’ specialization, complexity, the ideological and political education about "the post-90s" has made remarkable achievements in universities in Jilin Province, while the ideological and political education about "the post-90s" is still facing the challenge of market economy, globalization, high-tech, information technology, higher education reform and the popularization, In addition the education works has some problems, for example, the object of education is still not comprehensive understand, update of the educational concept is comparative lagging behind, the relevance of educational content needs to be strengthened, education methods should still be flourished, education target is located unscientifically, education system is needed to be perfected.To strengthen and improve the ideological and political education of "the post90s"in the universities in Jilin Province,we must closely combine the present characteristics of’the post90s’with the problems and challenges we are facing,and we should proceed on three dimensions of the philosophy of education, teachers, and teacher models. We should stick to the guidance of scientific concept of development, update educational philosophy, face the new era, base on precision,and pursue scientization-adhere to the "three mentioned" educational philosophy; give full play to the important role of the ideological and political education teachers, build a strong team of ideological and political theory teachers, a strong team of instructors, and a strong team of class advisers-built personnel support for strong three teams;we should innovate the mode of ideological and political education, integrate the school with social resources and experiences, reinforce the "first class" enrich the "second class "innovate the" third class "-for creating the linked mode of the "three class". Thereby we can strengthen and improve the ideological and political education about "the post90s" university students in Jilin province, and try to train "the post90s" college students to be the builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
