The self-concept is one of core constituent of personality structure, is an important index of the psychological development.And the physical self-concept is the most basic,it means the perception and evaluation to individual bady. and it with children’s growing up and through their whole life.the physical self-concept involves the various viewpoint and evaluation in body of self-worth, athletic ability, health, physical attractiveness and physical quality etc.Meanwhile, physical self-concept is the result of the social perception and influenced by the culture environment.And it plays an extremely important role in the development of mental health.The blind middle-school student is aspecial objects,so physical self-concept research of them is very important and meaningful.This research is tested in a sample of79students from blind school, involved in33blind person,46low vision,And47middle-school student in ordionary schools.By using the method of questionnaire and interview.Discussed the blind school students’ physical self-concept in the general characteristics, vision, gender,grade etc several aspects of the comparative analysis.The results show that:First,The overall level of physical self-concept the blind school student’s score below the normal students,special on dimension of athletic ability, health and physical quality; Comparing with the normal students,the low vision students have significant differences in the items of total point, body of self-worth, physical attractiveness and physical quality,and is lower than the normal students.Second, the blind school students and the low vision students have no difference in physical self-concept;Third, students from blind school in the gender factor have significant differences,the boys is higher the girls in the items of total point, athletic ability and physical quality.Forth, blind school students have no significant difference in the grade factor,indicating the grade factor can not impact their physical self-concept. According to those results,researcher suggests that:first, strengthening the blind school students’physical and mental health education,improving their physical self-concept;Second, Correctly understanding the particularity development of the blind school students’physical self-concept; Third, according to the different sexes, different method should be applied to different students.Forth, for through adolescence security,blind school teacher should be pay attention to the psychological health education.
