With the development of human science and research, there is a widespreadconcern over the research on problem schema from numerous scholars, educators andpsychologists and there are a large number of great theoretical achievements on theproject. In average schools, there exists a fact that lots of students have difficulties insolving problems in mathematics study. The reason is that under the pressure of collegeentrance examination, in order to enhance the proportion of admission into college, teachers and their students put much more emphasis on the procedural knowledgerather than the mastery of conceptual knowledge and they try to promote problemsolving ability by high-intensity exercises, only to find out that it gets half the resultwith twice the effort and produces exactly the opposite results. So only when thestudents gain the knowledge that they can master totally can they solve mathematicsproblems in a mathematical way. Based on the fact that mathematics study in problemschema can make a change to the condition that students learn maths in a mechanicaland imitative way and it can help students to learn maths in a understanding way andimprove the problem solving ability effectively, this article take a number of studentsin a high school in Baotou as participants of the study, mainly to study the followingproblems: first, the situation of the adoption of problem schema among senior highschool students; second, the influence on solving routine problems from differentlevels of problem schema; third, the influence on non-routine problems from differentlevels of problem schema. This article organizes questionnaires about problem schema and conventional andunconventional problems from a realistic angle and come to the conclusion byanalyzing the statistics with the help of Excel and Spss, that the level of problemschema has no relationship with gender while the resolve of routine and non-routineproblems is affected remarkably by the level of problem schema. The higher the levelof problem schema is, the better the problem solving ability is.The article suggested that the level of the problem schema of students has a greatinfluence on mathematic problem solving. Correct guidance from teachers isindispensable to students, so during mathematical education, it is no more than a goodway for teachers to help learners to form or improve their built relationship among knowledge, to teach them to build up problem schema and to stimulate them to solvemathematic problems. In addition, in class teaching, considering that students’ study isan increasingly building process, it would be good to getting rid of the comprehensivedifficulties from the increase of knowledge difficulty if teachers save some time andspace to show and discuss the problem schema that formed in this area.
