In the course of carrying out new curriculum, set up the English evaluation system to promote the development of the high school students as the main target, it has important significance to reform the high school student evaluation. The traditional English evaluation emphasized the subject knowledge system excessively. The test is the only form of English evaluation, but ignores the humanity. The using and development of the students’ English comprehensive ability was seriously restricted. To set up the new high school English evaluation system adapts to the demands of the times. It is inevitable and necessary. In senior English teaching, the fundamental purpose of the students’ evaluation is to promote the development of the senior high school students better. Change the situation where the student evaluation is just through the scores. Pay attention to students’ English academic achievement and develop high school students’ various comprehensive ability in using English. Focus on the actual performance of high school students in learning process. Focus on the development of high school students in the original level. Help students to understand themselves, full of confidence. This article studies the evaluation of senior high school students in learning English through the interview and questionnaire survey methods, etc. Analyze the reason why there are problems in the evaluation. Combining with the teaching practice, this paper proposes the corresponding strategies. This study aims to highlight the main position of high school students in English evaluation.
