The Relationship Among College Students’ Achievement Goles、Interest And Performence

Achievement goals are the most important reasons which stimulate ones learningmotivation, Different achievement goal inspire learners have different motives,whichinfluences their learning orientation and academic achievement. Interest is a kind of internalmotivation of learning, which are closely linked with achievement goals, and has greatinfluence on learning achievement. Research shows that interest has great influence ofstudents achievement, and this influence will bigger as the the growth of students’ age. Wealso find that the initial interest in learning also affects the process of learning achievementgoal choice.The authors examined the relationship among college students’ achievement goles、per-sonal interest、situational interest and performance, as well as wether achievement goles、personal interest、situational interest can predict college students’ performance.The resultsare as following:(1)Personal interest has significant positive correlation with mastery goals、performance-approach goals, has significant negative correlation with work avoidance goals，and has nosignificant positive correlation with performance-avoid goals.(2)Situational interest has significant positive correlation with mastery goals、performance-approach goals, has significant negative correlation with work-avoidancegoals，and has no significant correlation with performance-avoid goals.(3)Personal interest has significant positive correlation with situational interest.(4)Regression analysis indicate that personal interest,situational interest,performance-approach goals and work avoidance goals can predicate college students’ performance better.(5)Situational interest was the partial mediator between personal interest and students’performance.
