Emotional education is that the educator respect and cultivate the students’ socialquality in the process of education, and cultivate the students’ independent personality.They pay attention to the students attitude, emotions or feelings and beliefs, topromote the development of the student individuals and the society. With the NewCurriculum Reforms of elementary education, more and more scholars and teacherspay attention to the emotional education.And it has been a subject of intense interest.Emotion is the most important psychological factors.The cultivation of students‘emotion is extremely important part of Perfection of the Personality. For the currenthigh school history teaching, the emotional education function of history is generallyabsent. As a consequence, either the theoretical research or the practice of theemotional education is extremely instant.This paper expounds the connotation and theoretical basis of the emotionaleducation.Through surveys and interviews, I analyze the current situation of theemotional education in high school history on emotional education the basis ofprevious research results. Then I summarize the existing problems the of current highschool history emotional education from the students, teachers, family and school,then I analyze the causes of them. Through the investigating we discovery that seniorhigh school students’ emotional needs are very urgent, most students have emotionalproblems. But because of the realistic factors, teachers often fail to meet theemotional needs of the students. Therefore, history teachers should learn more aboutthe emotional education theory. To lay the foundations for the emotional education ofhistory, the teachers should design the affective objectives according to "The HistoryCurriculum Standards". Finally, this paper puts forward the principles of emotionaleducation on history and the problem of historical emotional education which shouldbe paid attention to. By analyzing and following the principles of emotional educationin the teaching process, and avoiding some of the problems, the emotional educationwill gradually get more good results.
