Research On Students’ Web Actions In Virtual Learning Community

Along with the further and deeper development of our country’s education informatization, more and more students are studying through the network, and more and more network learning platforms are constructed. All hope to get rid of the limitation of time and space, sharing high quality teaching resources through the Internet. The author chooses one of the most representative " Changjun learning community " to research, which is a synchronous course network learning community hosted by Changjun Middle School. Through in-depth investigations and analyses, this paper summarizes a lot of web behavior data of teenagers in the virtual learning community effectively.There are three parts of the web actions in Virtual Learning Community, including teaching and learning behaviors, communicative action and using action. Taking the Changjun learning community as a case, we find that only5.06%of the students are actual active users. IP access statistics show the characteristics that visits reach a peak on weekend and at night from9to11. Students’communications in the virtual learning community are much less active than entertainment and social virtual. The statistical data show the differences in web actions from a comparative analysis of three dimensions gender, grade and attention on the learning resources:the girls have more learning actions than boys, low-grades more than high-grades and science resources getting more attention than the liberal arts.By comparing the above data, this paper analyzes the youth web behavior to find the teenagers’need and interest about platform functions, so as to find the reasonable and feasible management method of the virtual learning community, and advance design optimization of learning platform function to guide the students to carry on the positive network learning behaviors.This thesis belongs to the typical cross-disciplinary research of education technology profession, studying web behaviors of the virtual learning community from the view of the distance education and network social psychology, and the view of interdisciplinarity has a strong theoretical exploration value; And the main research object of this piece of master degree theses is a network learning platform hosted by a famous middle school of Hunan, and the object selected has high reputation and a wide range of user, and learning resources are rich. Such outstanding features are very representative. And this master thesis gives a large number of real data in the virtual learning community, which improves the online teaching effect of primary and secondary schools, then it has a certain instructive significance.
