| The High school stage is an important period for growth throughout our life. During this period, we can develop our intelligence, build up our body and shape our personalities. Music is a kind of emotional art, and music itself is the embodiment of beauty, which represents the best wishes, the uprising spirit as well as the way to express and convey the beautiful things. The music of different styles under different conditions will make people have different psychological experience. High school music education, as an important means of moral education, has the incomparable advantage over other subjects and has played an irreplaceable role in high school education.This paper, based on the definition of music education and moral education in high school, and through the analysis of the relationships between music and moral education, talks about moral education function and its basic characteristics of music education. Based on many years of music teaching experience in high school, the author finds that moral function of the high school music teaching tend to weaken. We can draw such a conclusion for the following aspects. First, music education cannot help students to establish a correct "view". Second, music education cannot arouse the gratitude among students. Third, music education cannot achieve the aesthetic education purpose. Fourth, music education cannot meet the requirements of the moral education under the new curriculum criterion. Fifth, music education cannot beautify and purify the students’spirit. Besides, music education lacks innovation and dynamic, and also the system of high school music education needs improving. All the phenomenon above result from many reasons, among which the most important is lack of curriculum in high school music education, the ignorance of rules and characteristics of the high school music education as well as the high school music culture. Meanwhile, there are also reasons from the social and environmental aspects. Means of the realization of the moral education function of the high school music education lies in four parts. First, the combination of concept and function is a prerequisite for moral education function in high school music education. Specifically, to shape the physical and mental health, which is the core part; to learn from foreign musical ideas; to strengthen the influence of good examples; to develop and take advantage of the internet; to correctly position high school music education in this diversified global music world. Second, the improvement of the system is the guarantee of moral education function of the high school music education. Specifically, to better the curriculum; to carry out the hierarchical teaching through interest group teaching; to lead the direction of the "reform"; to highlight the professional characteristics of music education; to improve the quality of the music teachers; to deal with the arts test appropriately; and to broaden the educational resources. Third, the innovation in education is the key to the realization of moral education function in high school music education. Specifically, we should ensure the teaching content with characteristics of the time, emphasize the folk music’s characteristic charm in diverse background, strengthen education in patriotism, introduce the music therapy into the high school music education as well as enrich the teaching methods. Fourth, the building of musical culture in high school is the power to achieve the moral function in music education. |
