The Development And Application Of Course Management System In College Physical Department

With the scale of college becoming larger, colleges have been enrolling more and more new students, meanwhile the coverage of courses are growing wider, leading to more courses information requiring students to consult. If we still try to use the traditional way (recording and writing on paper) to manage these information, it will be a particularly cumbersome job. Rapid as well as all-round evolution of science, especial for computer technology, which makes our society become more scientific and automatic, brings a new mode for college course management and give the birth to college course management system. This system now is widely used in almost every college, but the question is that college course management system is just designed for the whole college not for the respective department while different departments have different courses with distinctive features. The courses of physical department are far different from them of others, including not only literacy class but also technical courses. The freshmen in physical department are assigned to executive class, while in their junior year they are assigned to another class basing on their choice about profession. Both distinctiveness of physical department make the course management become even more complex, accordingly it is required to produce a brand new course management system that totally adapts to college itself to accomplish the work of education administration effectively. This article takes the physical department of Hunan Normal University as an example. According to author’s rich experience of solving lots of problem in education administration, we have developed a kind of course management software for our department based on comprehensive analysis of current situation in the physical education. It is a kind of resources management software, which has abundant, integrated, normative content as well as perfect function that fits the characteristic of physical education. It has the function of dealing with daily routine work in college course management and processing date automatically, using modules such as base library entering, score management, print management, users’ authorities management to achieve the goal of managing students’courses orderly. This system can collect, store, progress, search date and tabulate in an automatic way, so that it effectively raises the level of educational automatic management and greatly improves work efficiency. All in all, the birth of this software is very meaningful for college educational management system.
