Research On Performance Evaluation Of University Administration Staff Based On Competency

University administrative staff performance evaluation is a weak link in university human resources management. Workload is not easy to collect and it is difficult to effectively judge their performance advantages and disadvantages, so the traditional performance evaluation methods of university administrative staff assessment cannot meet the need of human resources management. The paper analyzes the administrative staff characteristics and the performance evaluation methods, based on which the competency theories and methods are introduced to establish the performance evaluation system of university administrative staff.In this paper, the methods of literature review and behavioral event interview are adopted and totally21main competency factors of university administrative staff are enumerated; then through factor analysis,21competency factors are classed into5aspects and a layered model of university administrative staff competency is constructed. On the basis of this model, expert evaluating method is employed to determine the weight of each competency factor, which is given the performance behavior description, and the performance evaluation system of university administrative staff is constructed. Finally, the implementation of the performance evaluation system is briefly discussed.The research, to a certain extent, fills the gap in the current performance assessment of university administrative staff, and makes the university administrative staff performance evaluation method more scientific and reasonable. It can also give some help for the reform and development of the university personnel management system.
