Through a20-year period of development from the preliminary difficult startup, the postdoctoral work in Hubei province has experienced a continuous development process, achieving a relatively sound system with intermediate scale. However, in the face of new situation, there still exist a few problems in the admission, education and graduation of post-doctors respectively. These problems are to some degree in conflict with the original purpose of setting up postdoctoral research stations, whose aim is to facilitate the integration of production, learning with research by attracting and training talents at advanced level and particularly creative talents, and building a flexible mechanism for the movement of talents. As a personnel responsible for the management of post-doctors in Hubei Province, the author has a deep understanding of these problems. From the perspective of real management, this paper hopes to find some efficient method to solve the problems existing in the management of postdoctoral research stations in Hubei province.The paper is divided into six parts. The first part is introduction. The second part gives the definition of post-doctor and postdoctoral research station and describes the history and developmental situation of postdoctoral research stations in Hubei province. In third part, a case study about W University is done to find out the useful experiences and problems faced in terms of the management of postdoctoral research centers in Hubei province. The fourth part analyzed the common problems existed in the management of postdoctoral research stations in Hubei province, and the fifth part gives some solutions to solve those problems. The sixth part is conclusion.
