Liang Qichao was a famous educator in recent history. He hadadvocated female educational theory and practice that madeimportant contribution for development of Chinese history of recenteducation. It is a great significance that his educational theory hadpropelled female emancipation and promoted national prosperity.His thought laid deep foundation for establishing and improvingfemale educational theoretical system in China. Through thisresearch, I hope it can bring some references for resolving theproblem of female education in our transitional period.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part briefly introduces the generation mechanism ofLiang Qichao’s thoughts from four aspects.The second part discusses Liang Qichao’s thoughts from threerespects in detail. On the one hand, Liang Qichao criticized thefeudal ideas; on the other hand, he founded unbound feet union andfemale school in practice. He had two ideals: One was to cultivatevirtuous wives and good mother, and the other was to make nation prosperous and people intelligent.The third part rationally extracts the features of Liang Qichao’sthoughts in Weixin reform movement.The fourth part evaluates Liang Qichao’s thoughts, including theprogressive contents and inevitable limitations in his thoughts.Lastly, Concludes by analyzing, we can absorb some successfulexperiences and then it hopes that the result can provide somebenefits for female education and social development today.
