Research On Teaching Methods Of Oral Chinese For Primarv School Students

With the huge increase of overseas primary school students who are learning Chinese as a foreign language, our Chinese teachers should explore new teaching methods for oral Chinese class based on their learning characteristics and demands. Through analyzing the Chinese class in Primary School of Planetarium in Berlin, the author found that their oral Chinese class is totally different from adults’with its own characteristics:First of all, pupils lack of awareness of learning Chinese and persistence compared to adults; secondly, they prefer games and interactive activities in oral Chinese classes; finally, they are willing to express themselves in the class. Combining with these characteristics, teachers can develop appropriate teaching methods for oral Chinese. Besides, they should understand and be familiar with the students’study habits. Some effective teaching methods are listed below:1) Increase cultural factors to attach the intention of students;2) With the help of multimedia or interactive games to teach oral Chinese;3) Through questions and communicative tasks teaching method to encourage students, etc.
