With the arrival of "Economy Age" and the change of social needs, oral communicative competence has become the essential ability of contemporary citizens. In the new course reform, the reflection of theory research hasn't been fully carried out in practical teaching; there seems no effective way to develop students' oral communicative competence for emphasize on reading and writing and lack of listening and speaking. For the above consideration, my research subject "method study on cultivation of oral communicative competence in Chinese reading teaching of primary school" is finally set up. Based on predecessors' study, I try to find a practicable way to develop pupils' oral communicative competence.It has been pointed that one of the major solution to improve pupils' oral communicative competence is to cultivate and train them constantly in teaching process. Reading teaching which is dominant in Chinese class hours and those reading material in reading teaching which contains much oral communicative factors is inclined to be the main way to develop pupils' competence. Thus, I have been constantly practising and exploring the class teaching with the basis of reading teaching. According to pupils' own characteristics and the features of Chinese reading material, I have studied the oral communicative teaching pattern and teaching method—information accumulation before class; oral practice in class including circumstance experience, interpersonal communication, feedback and comments; the language use after class, which is united and dominant in class teaching. The purpose is to change the inclination in Chinese teaching—emphasis on reading and writing and lack of listening and speaking and meanwhile to develop their skills of listening, expressing and communicating, which will be helpful for them to develop their attainment in self-cultivation to communicate harmoniously with others.Pupils' oral communicative competence has been trained and improved gradually in the process of reading teaching through the organic combination of reading teaching and oral communicative teaching. It is improved that oral communicative teaching method is practicable in reading teaching. First, a great number of texts are suitable to be taught with dialogues, which is not only helpful to the pupils' understanding of the text but leave enough for their creation and imagination as well. Secondly, oral communication is a way to express language words. Language in texts provides contents for the oral communication. Pupils can absorb written language into their own language on the basis of reading. Thirdly, pupils are quite interested in oral communication.It is essential to pay great importance to develop pupils' oral communicative competence in Chinese reading teaching, which is needed for their forming of Chinese accomplishment. Teachers should grasp this opportunity to pay attention to the involvement of oral communicative training in reading teaching. Teaching should be based on methods but not constant methods. Let's make every effort to make the oral communicative teaching better and explore the more effective way of oral communicative teaching. It is believed that the effective educational reform is a long journey just like life itself. We can arrive at the destination once we start. We can explore the better teaching methods for oral communicative teaching if we fully involved in the teaching and research of new course.
