With the needs of social development and the deepening of educationreform of college physical education major, the teaching of basketballreferee knowledge and skills as a basketball specialized course in oneof the teaching contents have gradually been incorporated into thebasketball teaching reform agenda. Over the years, the teaching ofbasketball specialty in college physical education major of ShandongProvince mainly concentrated in the technical and tactical aspects,neglecting the cultivation of knowledge and skills of basketball referees.Colleges and universities, as important places for the training ofbasketball referees, play important roles on the development of ourbasketball referees. Colleges and universities in the arrangement ofteaching content and focus on the spirit of the concept of people-orientedand advancing, pay attention to the cultivation of the knowledge andskills of students basketball referee, to increase the emphasis on theteaching of the basketball referee, qualified for the society to cultivatea full range of sports talent. The thesis selectes16universities as studyobjective, such as Shandong Normal University, Shandong Institute ofPhysical Education, Qufu Normal University, Liaocheng Universitu, LinyiUniversity, Binzhou College, and it makes detailed analysis and study ofof the cultivation status quo of basketball referees, the necessity andfeasibility of increasing basketball referee courses and the enforcementsof referee courses in these colleges. This thesis finds the problems ofthe16colleges and universities in terms of the basketball refereeknowledge and skills development, and proposes the correspondingcountermeasures taking increasing basketball referee teaching hours asthe starting point.Through the survey,the major problems that exists in the teachingof referees of basketball specialty in Shandong college physicaleducation major are mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)As tothe teaching objectives, it neglects the cultivation of referee knowledgeand skills, which can not meet the need of society and the studentsthemselves.(2)It is common that the arrangements of referee teachinghours are too little and there is no colleges opening basketball refereeelective, which can not enable students to master referees’knowledge and skills systematically and completely. It is unable to meet the trainingrequirements of the national multi-skill.(3) Teachers pay littleattention to the referee teaching. in Universities of Shandong PhysicalEducation Professional basketball teachers referee level to meet theneeds teaching conditions, teaching too much emphasis on basketballskills and tactics, ignoring the referee knowledge and teaching skills.(4)Students who are major in basketball specialty of physical educationin Shandong command little knowledge and skills of basketball referees.It is common that most of the students can not masterthe rules and thereferee method comprehensively, and have insufficient practicalexperience.This thesis, based on the analysis of basketball referees trainingstatus quo in Shandong physical education major, puts forward thenecessity and feasibility of increasing the teaching hours of basketballreferee. The necessity is mainly in (1) the demand for quality education,the study of basketball referee knowledge and skills can cultivatestudents’ability of organization management, interpersonal skills,coordination and teamwork skills.(2) the needs of the students themselves.If the practical needs and the development needs of the students was takeninto account, it can make the ultimate purpose of education to be clear,so that the development of education is not just on paper, but servicefor students’development effectively.(3) implementing the NationalFitness Program, and the need to carry out to promote grassrootsbasketball. Most of graduates of basketball specialty in college physicaleducation major in Shandong Province of are assigned to work at thegrassroots, if this resource was grasped, it can provide support for thehealthy development of China’s grassroots basketball (4) the need toculture reserve resources of basketball referees, it is effectivesupplements to cultivate a group of talents with high level ofprofessional knowledge to work as basketball referees.(5) the need ofmake the CBA Referees professional.The feasibility of increasing thereferee teaching hours is reflected in the following aspects(1) makingsurvey of the investigation and distribution of course starting date,hours and credits in basketball specialty course.(2) increase teacherresource advantages of teaching hours of basketball referee studyconcluded for teachers resources to meet the increased basketball refereeteaching lesson.(3)as to the teaching materials, the rich teachingmaterials can provide help for increasing the teaching hours of basketballreferee.(4)the teaching of basketball referee can take multimediateaching mode, which can teach the knowledge and skills of basketballreferee more efficiently and intuitively.This thesis describes enforcements of increasing the referee teachinghours of basketball specialty in Shandong college physical educationmajor. It makes study and investigation mainly from the teaching content and suggestions and arrangements of the referee teaching. The teachingcontents include the evolution and development of the rules of basketball,the organization and layout of basketball contest, the venue, equipmentand devices, the referee duties and work procedures. Teaching suggestionsand arrangements mainly include referee teaching places, types, methodsand the proposed hours arrangements.
