As a precondition to feel, experience and comprehendmusic, good competency of music hearing is necessary to catch richful emotion that atransitory music contains. Music cannot exist alone without music hearing.Solfege courses are the effective path to develop music hearing. A pair ofmusic-identifying-ears can be developed by the comprehensive training to studentsof sightsinging, music hearing and music accomplishment. The purpose of thisarticle is to study how to design solfege courses for music aural training to infantsbased on the physical and mental characteristics of them, as to develop theirpotentialities of music hearing that will help them to build up a solid hearing sensefoundation for future music study.Infants are on the pretty good ages to sow the seed of music and start with musiceducation. Infants are innocent, lively, naughty and active and they can be easilyattracted by the charm of music. Therefore, scientific and systemic developing ofmusic aural training to infants can impact significantly for their future music path.Good music aural training can very much foster music study for infants. Through daysand months training to music hearing, infants can be developed with a pair of ears thatenable them to experience and observe music, and be formed with a hearing in mind, and as well be enhanced with music accomplishment. This article is structured by5sections, which are introduction,3chapters and theconclusion. In the introduction section, the purpose of the subject of this article is presented,as well as the current research status of this subject. The current situation of solfegeeducation to infants in China and abroad as well as the importance of the subject of this article are presented though the materials collected by the author on infants musichearing from China and also abroad. Those materials include books, articles etc.The1stchapter is a general interpretation of music study and music hearing ofinfants. The1stsection presents the mental and physical characteristics of infantswhen studying music, as well as potential issues of infants’music study bothsubjective and objective. The2ndsection presents the factors that music hearingcontains, including the basic factors of music hearing both on mental and trainingaspects. And in this section, it also presented the importance of music hearing to buildup “music ears”and inner hearing for infants.The2ndChapter is the main part of this article, and it is a practical design oftraining courses of6-month music hearing to infants. Considering the age of infantsand the characteristics of them both mentally and physically, the training tools aredesigned for every part of the training in proper ways that enable to fully developmusic hearing of infants. The1stsection is the design of music aural training thatcontains tone aural training, intervals and chord aural training. The2ndsection is thedesign of rhythm aural training both on sensitive and rational ways. The3rdsection isthe design of melody aural training including theme color and theme trend training.The3rdchapter is the analysis of result after infants training with this design ofcourses. The effectiveness and feasibility are proved through the tests of the samelevel before and after the training. The1stsection demonstrates the progress of senseof pitch and analyzes tone, intervals, chord aural training design. The2ndsectiondemonstrates the progress of rhythm sense and analyzes both sensitive and rationalaural training design. The3rdsection demonstrates the progress of melody sense andanalyzes theme color and trend aural training design. The conclusion is a sum up of the infants’music aural training practice andinteroperates the training principals of the music aural training to infants.
