As the theoretic subject of literature activity, Literary studies takes the responsibility of guiding and supporting the literature activities, on the other hand, its scientificity and validity need tests from the area of literature practice. Meanwhile, Chinese Education, especially its literature education, is an important form of literature activity. It not only needs the theoretical guide of Literary studies, but also tests the scientificity and validity of Literary studies. The disciplinary crisis of Literary studies, as well as the major issues existing in the area of Chinese Education, are eager to call for the combination of Literary studies and Chinese Education.This thesis puts forth effort on inspecting the knowledge points of Literary studies applied in the area of Chinese Education; on the other side, it tries to test the validity of Literary studies from the angle of literature practice, moreover, it makes bold attempt to put the research of Literary studies into practice.First, this thesis combines the knowledge of literature activity on the basis of Chinese Education practice and Chinese Course Standards in order to build a well arranged and overall model of Literary studies, then to make a further study on literature education. We build the model of Literature Art, which contains five factors of authors, readers, works, world and history, from synchronic and diachronic approaches on the theoretical basis of M.H.Abrams’s Four-elements of Literature and Cultural poetics. As a dynamic intercourse activity, Literature activity should be the procedure of interaction among inner elements, and be formed by authors, readers, works and world. Meanwhile, every literature activity takes place in certain historical context.In this way, we add the element of history into the model.Second, this thesis takes the model of Literature and Art as the standard to inspect four chosen textbooks. Chinese textbooks, as the medium of Chinese teaching activities, shows the compiling concepts of designers directly, and are important for the practice and effect of Chinese education activities. Meanwhile, the designers compile the textbooks by the guide of Literature and Art. Therefore, this paper chooses textbooks as the breakthrough point to inspect the theories of Literature and Art applied in literature education activities. This thesis chooses four kinds of high school Chinese textbooks both at home and abroad, and does research on them from the four element level and historical level. In the end, we find some problems in these textbooks, for example, the designers paid less attention to historical dimension, and attached inadequate importance to other four elements, etc. These problems shows the inadequacy of quote from Literature and Art to Chinese Education, on the other hand, it reflects the desperate lack of research of Literature and Art.The research of Literary studies in the area of Chinese Education area has great value in raising the level of Chinese education, on the other hand, it is helpful and meaningful to widen the area of Literature and Art research and perfect the course system of Literature and Art.
