With the beginning of the nutrition improvement program for the rural compulsory education students, this program of our nation is getting underway together with the consistent efforts of the whole society. However, because of the influence of the various values in the period of social transformation as well as the alienation of the training goals of the school, range of problems faced by lots of students gradually expose, such as defective nutrition knowledge, poor nutrition habits, weak labor affection and low labor capacity. It is an idea in the author’s mind to strengthen students’nutrition knowledge and cultivate their moral behavior by nutritious meals.In this paper, two rural primary schools in C, Chongqing, are the research object. By using the method of empirical research, we reveal the educational problems in the implement of the nutrition improvement program for the rural compulsory education students. And we make a deep exploration of reasons causing the problems. After that we put forward some educational measures to solve the mentioned problems.First of all, we introduce the background of the nutrition improvement program for the rural compulsory education students, make a brief review of the research at home and abroad, and investigate the current situation and the existing problems in the implement of the nutrition improvement program for the rural students in C, Chongqing by using method of empirical research. By using Bloom’s three-dimensional learning goals together with the nutrition improvement program, we may draw a conclusion that the educational meanings of the nutrition improvement include the following four aspects:nutrition education, labor education, good habits education and thanksgiving education. Aiming at the above four aspects, we develop an effective questionnaire to investigate the educational significance of the nutrition improvement program.Then we explore the educational problems in the implement of nutrition improvement program. We analyze the educational problems in the implement of nutrition improvement program from nutrition education, labor education, good habits education and thanksgiving education. The result shows that education significance of the program is weak in power in the above four aspects.And then we make a deep investigation in the educational reasons for the implement of nutrition improvement program. First from the perspective of the society, the influence of the corruptive values in the period of social transformation and the misunderstanding of the society to the importance of the all-round-development education goal are the two main reasons. Second from the perspective of schools, the alienation of the schools’ training goals, one-sided pursuit of scores and graduation rates, is one reason. The relatively low quality of teachers, the simplex teaching method and the difficulties of making the daily lives of students instructive are the second reason. The lack of practice of some teachers to the nutritious meals, though they realize its importance, is also another point.At last we propose some educational measures to the implement of nutrition improvement program. We should learn from Japan and explore the educational importance of the nutritious meals of our nation. And treating the nutritious meals as an important teaching part should be paid much attention. The educational function of nutritious meals should be played in various means and forms. Making full use of the school canteens and getting the canteens fully play their educational functions may be another measure.
