The responsibility is not only the core elements of the moral quality, but also the basic premise that individual consciously abide by the code of ethics. Training pupils’ responsibility can help them to promote the benign development of their moral character. With the progresses of social reform, market economy gradually replaced the original planned economy. Market economy follows the law of value, and its prominent feature is emphasis on individual interests. In the process of pursuit the maximal profits, people often sacrifice personal credibility and damage the ecological environment. The phenomenon of moral decline and the lack of integrity are negative effects on the growing pupils. In addition, because of the limitations of pupils’ physical and mental development, their responsibility is worrying.The author takes Chongqing K primary school as the case.Through literature, questionnaire investigation to students, and interviews with teacher and parents to understand the problems of in pupils’ responsibility development. Survey data and results had provided the realistic basis for this research.This paper has four parts. The first part is the introduction that explains the research background, research ideas and methods, literature review, summed up the responsibility’s connotation, type and characteristics, and explains the sense of training pupils’ responsibility. The second part based on the questionnaire data and interviews, analyzes the current problems of the pupils’ responsibility development. Generally speaking, pupils’ responsibility position is active and healthy, but they are difficult in transforming the responsibility cognition and responsibility emotion into the responsibility behavior. Part three discusses the root cause of pupils’ responsibility lacking, their roots can be divided into four aspects that are school, family, society and pupils’ limitation. The fourth part starts from the causes of pupils’ responsibility lacking, and put forwards the strategies of training pupils’responsibility. Firstly, the goal of school’s responsibility education should be reflected the level row and progression. Secondly, in the contents and ways of responsibility. Teachers should take full advantage of classroom teaching to cultivate students’responsibility cognition; trough the role playing to stimulate students’responsibility emotion; providing the practical activities to sharpen students responsibility will and behavior. Family education, mainly by changing the educational concepts and improve the education mode. Finally, society should be cooperated school to create the positive atmosphere.
