The concept of modern basic education advocates the quality of education with love, emphasizes not only knowledge but also the emotional and life experience. Educational philosophical innovation means change, and all educational activities progress in the education space, different educational activities demonstrate different educational space, and the existing educational space also constraints educational activities. This paper selected perspective of space to examine the problems in basic education, taking school space as a starting point to reveal the problems in reality of basic education school space and analyze the causes, then give individual thinking on it.This paper is comprised by five parts:The first part is about the interpretation of the content of school space. In this part, interpret school space physical and social aspects. As the material existence of school space, it has a clear boundary and layout, and it is the sum of the educational activities; as a social space, it is filled with a sense of power, and constructed by all actions.The second part is about proposing the substance and pursuit of basic education school space optimization. This study suggests that space optimization is adaption and allocation of spatial elements with the education philosophy and its pursuit of value, and to achieve dynamic balance. In the pursuit of space optimization of basic education school space should be conducive to develop students’basic academic abilities, give full play to the autonomy of the students, and help to meet different students’needs.The third part is about to reveal the shortcomings of the reality of basic education school space. In this study, analyze the shortcomings of basic education school space from two aspects such as deviation and flow of the elements.The fourth part is about the reasons analysis of basic education school space. This study suggests that positioning misconduct rationalist view of knowledge are the cause of the problem.The fifth part is about suggestions to optimize the space of basic education schools. This study suggests that space optimization stage of basic education schools should focus on flexibility, openness and equality.
