With the popularity of Internet technology, the Internet games are taking a higher and higher proportion in the entertainment of college students’casual life. Meanwhile, the problem that a large number of college students indulged in the Internet also attracted the attention of many scholars. For College Students, addicting to the Internet games produces a very negative impact on their academic studies, personal health. Especially, the virtual currency (Q coins) in the Internet game can strengthen the addictive behaviors(the impulsive behaviors) of online game player,which affects their lives and learning to a certain degree.Many studies have shown about the college students’addicting to network from the view of education or psychology, which obtains many valuable achievements. However, most of these studies make the point from the personality of college students, or from the related external environment. There are few studies paying attention to the correlation between Internet games’ special characteristics and college students’ behaviors.This study adopt the questionnaire method and the experimental method. The questionnaire is mainly to make the assessment of these college students’impulsive personality by using the Barratt Impulsivity Scale, and finally to identify the relations between those impulsive personality and the behaviors of college students who addicted to the Internet games. The experiment mainly takes the delay discounting paradigm,with money and Q coins as variables stimulation, which uses2*5*2mixed experimental design. The purpose of the experiment is to analyse the impulsive choice of the college students addicting in the face of Q coins and equivalent value of money. and finally to identify the impact which the certain characteristics of the Internet games caused to the addicted impulsive behaviors.The main findings of this study are as follows:1) The college students who addicted to the Internet games showed the higher impulsive personality than the others, and they behaved notably in the no-plan impulsive condition.2) The college students who addicted to the Internet games showed the higher impulsive personality than the others when they met the scene of Q coins.3) The college students who addicted to the Internet games showed the higher impulsive personality when they faced the virtual currency Q coins rather than the same value of money within a short period of time and in a longer period of time, the addicted performed a similar level of impulsivity when facing Q coins and money of equal value.This study not only enriches and improves the content of mental health but also makes a deeper understanding of addicted students’psychological mechanism.The study appllies the behavioral economics theory-----delay discounting to the analysis of network game addiction.College Students’addictors showned the higher impulsive features, which provides effective intervention methods by inhibiting impulses and timely strengthening approaches.The addictors show higher delay discounting rate than the equivalent value of the money, so the ways by reducing the application frequency of virtual currency to realize the effective regulation on the network game environment is important and necessary.
