Yangchu Yan as a world-renowned educator,his life has been engaged in the creation, improve and practice his education theory. His moral education thought has distinctive features,the formation of his thoughts closely related to the following factors:the historical background is an important historical environment of the formation of his thoughts;the life experiences is his moral education thoughts of subjective factors;the traditional Chinese ethical culture is the Yangchu Yan moral education thoughts of objective factors.Further,western culture had a major impact on formation of Yangchu Yan moral education.His moral education thought is for the basic problems of the Chinese people——ignorance, poverty, cowardly, selfish, therefore he proposed the literary, livelihoods, health and civic education are four educational content.Qualified citizen of moral education is the fundamental goal of Yangchu Yan moral education in epistemologically,intellectual enlightenment is the basic functions of moral education,however,the new citizens salvation is the historical mission of moral education.Yangchu Yan’s thoughts of moral education have always insisted on the quality of three areas.In educational methods,the four education organic unity which are the literary, livelihoods, health and civic education,formed a "four in one"way of moral education.School.family and society organic together.formed a "three position"way of moral educaion. He built his own teachers’ moral education system,formed "leachers’ moral for the firs" moral education model,thus forming a practice-oriented way of moral education.In the history of education, his moral education is unique, both theoretical constructing, but also practicalness, in the concept of education, his moral education has a pioneering system of education adn practical exploration.His moral education thought has distinctive features,mainly as follows:blending Chinese and Western,ancient and modern compatible;powerful countries of new civic,sense of urgency;concise and simple,statecrafy;unique,universal implemented.Not only is moral education an important part of the discipline of pedagogy, but also is a major part of the moral theory. His civilian education movement explore and construct actively their theory with practice for his moral education, in practice, he has given a full examination and reflection that his educational thoughts and its practice with general educator or practitioners of different characteristics, and also has a different sense of the history of education and historical value.The value of his era mainly as follows:civilian education has implications for today’s compulsory education; practical education has implications for today’s vocational education;"teachers’moral for the first" has implications for teachers’ moral education in today;comprehensive education has implications for today’s quality education,several aspects,etc.
