The Research On Civilian Education In Taiyuan

With the development of the New Culture Movement,many new ideas and new ideas poured into our country.In the face of the country's turmoil and the low level of people's knowledge,the advanced intellectuals,represented by Y.C.James Yen,began to advocate civilian education,aiming to help the poor,poor workers and urban civilians who could not afford to go to school to learn culture and improve people's knowledge.Taiyuan is one of the few places in China where the movement has reached almost every corner of the country.Under the initiative of Jin Nationality Student Gao junyu and others,the tide of civilian education entered Shanxi from Beijing and developed rapidly in Taiyuan.This study focuses on the development of the civilian education in Taiyuan around the 1920 s,aiming to restore the original appearance of the civilian education in Taiyuan as far as possible by collecting and sorting out the relevant historical materials,in order to trace back to the source of the problems in the current social education.This research content altogether has four main parts:The first part mainly introduced the Taiyuan populace education rising background.The reason why civilian education can rise and develop in Taiyuan is mainly because of the call of era background,the push of literacy education and the efforts of people with insight.The second part mainly introduces the development course of Taiyuan populace education.The development of the civilian education in Taiyuan can be divided into three stages: the first stage is the introduction stage,the civilian education enters Taiyuan from Beijing;The third stage is the confluence stage,the civilian education and the rural education gradually confluence.The third part investigates the forms of implementing civilian education in Taiyuan.This research divides the implementation of civilian education inTaiyuan into three ways: the first is to organize civilian schools,represented by civilian primary schools and adult night schools;the second is to establish civilian associations,the third is to set up a floating place to be represented by such informal organizations as the office of civilian asking words and the office of civilian reading.The fourth part mainly introduces the typical achievements of Taiyuan Civilian Education: Shanxi Civilian Weekly and Taiyuan civilian middle school."Shanxi civilian weekly" has experienced many twists and turns in its publication process,with novel content and unique distribution,and has become the propaganda position of Taiyuan civilian education.Finally,taking Taiyuan civilian middle school as a typical case study,starting with the school-running process,infrastructure,organizational structure,school system,teachers and students,etc.,the purpose is to investigate the development of the populace education in Taiyuan at that time through typical case.e.With the development of civilian education in Taiyuan for more than ten years,the campaign has achieved remarkable results,resulting in the improvement of the quality of the people in Taiyuan and the improvement of the social atmosphere,as well as a positive impact on the revolutionary cause and the progress of social education in Taiyuan.
