Our country is a agricultural country,and rural development has always been the basic issue of our social development.For a long time,our country has been continuously committed to building a new type of rural areas,promoting rural economic growth,improving farmers’ living standards and improving the quality of life for farmers.However,education is still the weakest link in rural development.The realization of a well-to-do society must solve the problem of rural education.Farmers are the main force of rural development.Only by cultivating high-quality peasants through education can there be real development in the rural areas.To achieve this goal,we must learn the theoretical foundation and practical experience of our predecessors.Yan Yangchu,as a famous civilian educator in the last century,his educational thoughts and practical activities provide useful lessons for poverty alleviation in rural education today.Yan Yangchu was born in Bashan County in Sichuan Province.His educational thoughts originated from the Confucianist people-centered thought and Western democracy and scientific thought.His educational practice is based on the actual conditions in rural areas and farmers’ physical and mental development.Through school-based education,family-based education,Education The "literary education","livelihood education","health education" and "civic education" should be carried out to eventually train new peasants with knowledge,productivity,health and unity.These educational activities have made remarkable achievements in rural areas at that time.First,the knowledge and cultural level of peasants has been raised.Second,the quality of life of peasants has been improved and their economic income has been increased.Third,a relatively complete system of rural health care has been established.It is to foster unity and cooperation in the spirit of serving the rural economy.Based on Yan Yangchu ’s educational thought,this paper studies Yunnan rural education poverty alleviation and explores the historical background,main content and characteristics of Yan Yangchu educational thought through literature analysis and historical research.Through field survey,we collected the first-hand information and interviewed the poor village cadres,the poverty alleviation workers in the village and the villagers(a total of 43 persons)through interviews to sort out the current situation of poverty alleviation education in Yunnan rural areas.This is the focus of this study.The difficulty of this study is to solve the problem of how to combine Yan Yangchu’s educational thought with current rural poverty alleviation in Yunnan?Although the background of the times is different from that of rural areas,there are still some "foolish","poor","weak" and "private" phenomena in rural areas at present.Therefore,based on the excavation of Yan Yangchu’s educational thought,combined with the results of the investigation and analysis of poverty alleviation in rural education in Yunnan,the following enlightenments are obtained: First,Yan Yangchu’s educational content meets the actual needs of peasants,such as literary and art education to improve peasants’ knowledge and cultural level and livelihood education to increase peasants Income and the development of rural economy;second,Yan Yangchu’s education methods cultivate farmers ’interest in learning,such as the slide teaching method and the intuitive teaching method;third,education aims at stimulating peasants’ endogenous motivation,and by creating a learning atmosphere and demonstrating farm families;"Four forces"(ability,creativity,dedication,morality)have rural education poverty reduction personnel;Fifth,the three major forms of education complement each other to form a combination of education. |
