In the background of today’s education reform, curriculum reform is thekey, and textbook reform is the core issue of curriculum reform. The newcurriculum reform advocate that reasonable secondary development should beconducted by the teachers according to actual teaching situation, teachersshould take the initiative to study the textbooks, and depending on the actualteaching, textbooks need to be restructured, integrated and expanded whichcan make it become better and more suitable for local education. So, toresearch teaching of the different versions of textbooks, to analyze thecharacteristics of them and to compare the advantages and disadvantages ofcurrent textbooks is important for the secondary development of textbooks intheoretical and practical aspect.The thesis compares&analyzes the fit of curriculum standards based onThree versions for Junior high school Chemistry textbooks (The editionpublished by the People’s Education Publishing House, Science EducationPublishing House&Shanghai Education Publishing House), it shows thatthe three versions textbooks can fully incarnate the basic concepts of thecurriculum standards. But the three versions textbooks have their owncharacteristics. As a whole the textbooks published from the edition publishedby the People’s Education Publishing House are well-suited in difficulty, andhave outstanding topics, lively&integrative content, high level of integrationof the different projects, as well as the good systematicness. The textbookspublished from the edition published by the Science Education PublishingHouse are based on curriculum standards, pay too much to combine thestudents’ cognitive rules with the knowledge structure of the textbooks. Itscontent has been added to form stepwise knowledge path, in order to promotedevelopment of the students’ Intelligence and ability. The textbooks publishedfrom the edition published by the ShangHai Education Publishing House highlights student development idea, to strengthen Scientific inquiry andpracticability of the textbooks, which change the trend of impartingknowledge and skill to students for the traditional textbooks. So that studentswound know how to deal with the real problom with the knowledge theylearnt. In terms of choice of knowledge pay more attention to the contentappropriate for student learning to broaden students’ knowledge, suchas,Chemistry and Society, Chemistry and life, Chemistry and technology andso on. However, the textbooks have relatively high expectations not only onteaching condition, but also on the levels of teaching staff and students, so itis difficult to make them used on large scale in the country.According to the peocedural principle of teaching materials, selectingjunior high school, chemistry teaching content in the specific content havecarry on the contrast analysis with three version of textbook. The selectioncontent includes: Oxygen, composed of particles, of the substance solution"and "acid, alkali, salt", from analysis, we find that People Education Publish"textbook is a gradual transitional textbooks, the content is too simple and therange is appropriate also it’s enable to reflect systematically andcomplementally, also the text content is easy to accept by students, however,it seems to see the old version text book, and trend to be the storage ofknowledge, further more one of the shortage is not good enough to link withthe experience students as well as new students, while the content of PeopleEducation Publish text book is very detailed and interlocked each other,alsothe range is reasonable, it’s convenient to student to self study and also easyto student to build to their own knowledge framework, the text book also ishighlight the "scientific research" as the main way of learning as well as easyto students cultivate their good study ability. However, due to the knowledgetaught too detailed, it’s easy to bind up the students’ thinking, and not good tocultivate the divergent thinking of students. It can prepare each section fromthe existing experience of the students during the compiling process of thetextbooks published by the Shanghai Education Publishing House; combinethe social life reality in the curriculum content, and accord with the accepted principles of students in the order of arrangement of the knowledge. But, thecontent is simple and with large span, the style is avant-garde, it’s asking toomuch of the students’ basis, the teaching condition and the teachers’ level, it’sthe challenging textbooks. It’s better for them who have superior condition forexperimentation and teaching. But for them in the poor teaching conditionwith the common students’ basis, undoubtedly increased the burden duringthe teaching process, it may be show a embarrassing situation for teaching isnot link with reality.Since each version of the textbooks has its own advantages anddisadvantages, so in the actual teaching process,it is almost impossible thatone set of textbooks fully meet the local teaching situation, and it is surely notenough to depand only on one set of textbooks, therefore, it is necessary torestructure,expand and integrate the contents of the textbooks so as tohighlight social-oriented premise and enhance the systematicness of knowlegeas well. I applied the above results of study to the practical teaching in Xinghecounty of Inner Mongolia, that is, to increase or restruvture some of itscontent in the form of specific cases, in the course of practical teaching, itshowed that the students’grasp of knowlege has been greatly improved, theinterest in learning has been increased, and the ability to acquire knowlegeand the scores have been improved, too. On the whole, the resturcture of thetextbooks have led to the satisfactory results. I hope that these researches maycontribute to adapting textbooks in the future and help teachers make real useof textbook, instead of teaching for teaching’s sake.
