In 2001 the Ministry of Education issued a "compulsory education curriculum standards(trial version)"(the "curriculum standard"), to guide the preparation of the2001 People’s Education Press junior high school biology experiment textbook(hereinafter referred to as the 2001 PEP).2012 "Compulsory Education curriculum standards(Revised Edition)"(the "New Standard") for society is enacted, guide the completion of the revision of the country about 11 sets of junior high school biology textbooks.Chongqing in 2001 after using the 2001 PEP; use in 2012 after the People’s Education Publishing House in 2012(hereinafter referred to as the 2012 PEP), Beijing Normal University Publishing junior high school biology textbooks(hereinafter referred to as the Beijing Normal University), Jiangsu educational publishing junior high school biology textbook publishing(hereinafter referred to for Jiangsu), Hebei Children’s Publishing junior high school biology textbooks(hereinafter referred to as the Hebei Education Edition).In this study, the five sets of junior high school biology textbooks used in the Chongqing region as the research object, using the content analysis, comparative study made three research literature research methods.The type and number of forms, levels and other aspects of the specific open to scientific inquiry activities in textbooks for statistical and performance analysis.Which for 2001 and 2012 PEP PEP textbook is a longitudinal system to compare; in the current 2012 PEP, for Jiangsu, Hebei Education Press, Beijing Normal University Edition junior high school biology textbooks as a transverse system were compared.Through the five sets of textbooks quantitative analysis and comparison, like the data and conclusions of this study can provide some suggestions for the front-line teaching and materials editor.In the longitudinal comparison in 2001 and 2012 PEP PEP, the results show that in2001 and 2012 PEP PEP Textbook Writing in the framework of the same.The type of activities in 2012 increased to 20, and 14 in 2001; but in 2001 the number was 174 PEP activities PEP 140 more than in 2012.2012 edition biology textbooks increased scientific inquiry activity as "design", "production", etc., reflect the 2012 PEP junior high school biology textbooks for the new curriculum standards for students to explore the implementation of the scientific concept.In contrast, type PEP 2001 mainly in scientific inquiry activities for the exchange of class, which is less manifestation of form class exploration activities, open scientific inquiry activity level and more concentrated at the open level 2.2012 PEP textbooks type of scientific inquiry activityincreased significantly, to exercise the student in the classroom thinking, scientific inquiry, students focus on scientific inquiry skills.In scientific inquiry activity form of expression, to increase the proportion of the physical map, pictures are from life, so that students are more vivid and more intuitive to understand and participate in scientific inquiry activities.At the same time be able to comprehend the true mastery of knowledge to solve real-life problems, to stimulate student interest in learning,strengthen motivation.Chongqing existing horizontal comparison see four textbooks, teaching materials which are distinctive features of Jiangsu large number of pictures, and most of which are physical map.
